Inspirational athlete and military veteran Luke Wigman is the first speaker to have been confirmed for the Rushcliffe Business Partnership Annual Showcase.
Luke will be speaking on his time with the RAF in Afghanistan and the injuries which led to him later starring in the Invictus Games. He will tell delegates of the pioneering work being progressed at the new Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) at Stanford Hall in the south of the county. The Showcase takes place at the British Geological Survey in Keyworth on November 1 and tickets are still available.

Rushcliffe Business Partnership's largest annual event takes place on Wednesday 1 November in Keyworth. This year’s event is focused on ‘Business in the Changing World’ where you will discover how your business can adapt to a volatile global environment.
You will hear from a range of inspirational speakers on topics from digital and business growth to procurement. You will also be able to network among up to 250 delegates and liaise with more than 25 exhibitor stalls, all with similar interests in supporting the local business community.
The biggest cycle race in Britain comes to Nottinghamshire this September and businesses are being offered a number of sponsorship opportunities.
The race is the UK’s biggest free to attend sporting event and is set to see more than 1.6 million live spectators across the eight days. It is anticipated that there will be one million viewers watching the action, live and highlights, each day on ITV4.
Wednesday 6 September will see 120 of the world’s top cyclists racing a 175-kilometre stage from Mansfield to Newark-on-Trent. The route will take in Eastwood, Hucknall, Gedling and the grounds of Newstead Abbey and the centre of Southwell.

New levels of membership have been announced for Rushcliffe Business Partnership allowing businesses to raise their profile in the local business community.
The free (silver) entry-level option still remains for all organisations allowing individuals to network and connect as before but now there are gold and platinum packages available.
