Businesses in West Bridgford are among the latest in the borough to join Refill Rushcliffe, an award-winning, national campaign founded by City to Sea in 2015. Rushcliffe Borough Council are leading the initiative and joined Severn Trent in approaching businesses to sign up to the scheme to inform them of the environmental opportunity to help their customers gain access to the free water refills. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas – well, it certainly will do in West Bridgford on Saturday 24 November when Rushcliffe Borough Council switch on the Christmas lights on Central Avenue and Gordon Square, officially launching the town’s annual seasonal trading campaign.
Established in 2000, the West Bridgford Chistmas Lights switch-on attracts an audience of more than 5,000 visitors, making it one of the largest free annual events in the town centre.
