Following the signing of a friendship agreement between Nottinghamshire and the Chinese province of Zhejiang a free event is offering local firms the opportunity to learn more about doing business in China.

The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) training event is being held on Monday 15 May at Newark Beacon, 8.30am to 1pm.

The event provides an awareness of China and Chinese business culture and an insight into how misunderstandings can arise (and be overcome) during business interactions with Chinese people. Trainees will also learn about practical skills that can make business interactions with China more successful.

The session is aimed at companies on the verge of exporting to China for the first time or those looking to increase their China business.

The half-day training session will be facilitated CBBC, hosted by Nottinghamshire County Council and supported by the Department for International Trade.
