Krissi Saccoh of The Tutor Boss reflects on her business, from inspiration to award.
The Tutor Boss takes a fresh, modern, and inclusive approach to educational provision, based on decades of expertise in the field and delivered by staff members with an array of specialised qualifications.
Our mission? To help all students on the lifelong journey to achieve their very best. We offer educational services to children throughout primary and secondary school, as well as those studying for A Levels. And, whilst we tutor any child, we are proud to specialise in supporting neurodiverse children and those with special education needs (SEN).
Our provision extends from after-school tuition sessions to full-time home education; we offer plans tailored to each child’s specific needs. In addition, the majority of our work is done online, meaning we can work with families anywhere in the UK.
My name is Krissi Saccoh, and as the founder of The Tutor Boss, I have a deeply personal investment in this line of work. I grew up with ADHD in a time and place when special educational needs were not recognised, and I have devoted my life to ensuring every student I meet is treated as an individual who deserves to fulfil their true potential. I have a diverse background in education stretching over 20 years, as well as a masters in SEN and Inclusion.
Alongside traditional teaching roles, with which I have extensive experience, I have worked on a consultancy basis in a number of educational settings and 3rd sector projects. From putting strategic educational plans into place, to ensuring safeguarding compliance, to delivering workshops on everything from business to behavioural management, I aim to improve the educational experience in every way I can from every possible approach.
As well as tutoring and home schooling with a team of expert and exciting partners at The Tutor Boss, I personally support disadvantaged adults into education and/or business. In addition, I am available to deliver talks to both community and business groups on a number of topics such as routes into business, rapid growth and service delivery, advocating for your vulnerable children, building community support networks, and more.
We at The Tutor Boss were very proud to win Rushcliffe Business of the Year for 2022. It is our hope that the visibility gained via such an award will help us reach a wider audience of parents, children, businesses, and vulnerable people who might need our assistance.
